There will be three walks during the convention, which will all start from Asilomar. You may pre-register online for these walks up till April 20th.
- The Pebble Beach Walk takes you south from Asilomar towards the famous resort area of Pebble Beach, where multi-million dollar homes, seven golf courses and the beautiful Pacific coastline attract visitors from all over the world.
- The Lovers Point Walk travels north from Asilomar toward Monterey Bay. You'll see the famous California cypress trees, wander past historic Victorian homes and maybe see an otter or two frolicking in the bay.
- The Pacific Grove Walk, which also starts from Asilomar, explores the picturesque town of Pacific Grove, which was dubbed "The most romantic city in the US" by Life Magazine. The famous Monterey Bay Aquarium is here. Also, every October more than 25,000 monarch butterflies migrate here to winter under the protective watch of local citizens and law enforcement.
Payment
Full payment for accommodations is now due by March 16th (money in treasurers hands; checks could take 5 days). All payments for accomodations must go through the CVA in order for you to be in our area for room assignments and for meal seating.
Cancellation policy
Due to Asilomar's reservation requirements, payment for accommodations is non-refundable. After March 16th, we will order, and pay for, the awards and additional food at the convention. Walk fees paid are refundable if you cancel prior to April 20th.
Pre-registration
All Pre-registration is online using the form on the
Pre-registration page. We will be able to
automatically print name labels, tickets for the events etc., and
save considerable time and effort for this convention.
